We love the ‘Web Community’ and have met some real friends through first talking online and then meeting at conferences. We want our t-shirts to be both about, and for our community. As our skills lie very much on the technical side we’re starting to ask designers we know to design a t-shirt that represents something they are passionate about. The plan is to launch early 2012 with three initial designs and then release approximately one every month.
To add to the pressure our friend Simon Collison has kindly agreed for us to do the t-shirts for New Adventures in January 2012.
We’d better get practising!
Never ones for taking the easy route we decided that it would be fun, and logistically beneficial, to do all the printing ourselves. Armed with just a couple of pieces of paper in the form of instructions it’s time to start playing.
…there was a small team of web developers based in England called Decode. They wanted to spend time in 2012 looking at simplifying the process of integrating payment processing into niche sites, but to do this they needed a store they were 100% in control of. But what could this group of t-shirt loving guys make and sell?
Hmm.
After some very high level scientific research they discovered that they weren’t the only ones who loved t-shirts! So an idea was born.
